We are so very excited that you have chosen to research The Augustine Preparatory Academy of Atlanta (TAPAA) as an educational ministry for your child. For those of us here at Augustine, this has been a phenomenal experience as we have witnessed the birthing of a dream. Our formation came out of an excellent institution (Cathedral Academy est. 1984). I had the privilege of being involved in the educational opportunities at the Cathedral since 1992 as an Instructor; Director of the Early Learning Center and for the last 4 years as Headmaster. I firmly believe that there is a time to be faithful over another man’s vision and then there comes an opportunity to birth your own. I feel privileged and honored to have facilitated the day-to-day operations of such a fine institution.
Now the journey continues as we diligently hew out of stone something that is of eternal value. We pitch our tent and offer a sacrifice unto the Lord. TAPAA is a private Christian academy, upholding the tenets of the word of God as we endeavor to train a generation that will indeed impact the earth for good. If you are looking for an extension of the village, look no further than Augustine. Our commitment is to partner with those who take their parenting responsibilities seriously. We want to build upon the foundation that begins at home. We offer a strenuous and rigorous curriculum that demands nothing short of excellence. Chancellor Robert Turner and I committed these same values and levels of expectation to our own three children, as they were recipients of private school education as well.
My motto is very simple: I will never expect more from your children than I have expected from my own. You might ask what were those expectations? Simply put, you must respect our God; honor authority; do your absolute best; and be part of the solutions in the earth and not the problems.
